In an effort to promote mental and physical wellness while highlighting national Minority Mental Health Month in July, ETV is hosting its Annual Power Walk on July 13, 2024 at South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, New Jersey.

Data shows that regular physical exercise and time outdoors greatly improve mental health. This event will take place from 8AM until 12PM with a vigorous 1.8 mile walk around the lake (or virtually), with an expert mental healthcare provider, and other activities! Sponsor the event or an individual Power Walker today!

Support in promoting the Power Walk for Mental Health as a sponsor, enlisting employee participation as well as funding to support the Village Assist Program.

ETV is developing this program to:

  • Help eradicate the stigma associated with seeking mental health services.
  • Educate the community about how to identify the signs of mental health distress and address issues for themselves and others.
  • Provide the Black community with access to free and affordable mental health services, which is a challenge impacting large swaths of the Black community.
  • Connect the community to licensed Black psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers and other wellness professionals.

Culturally competent professionals are critical to ensuring successful outcomes for Black youth and adults seeking to improve their emotional health and well-being.

Join The Village as we take steps to restore
prosperity, peace and power to the Black community!
